In December 2025, Prof. Susumu Kitagawa donated commemorative items to the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm following his Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Among them was a handkerchief I designed, presented alongside actual samples of MOFs (metal-organic frameworks).
I created this handkerchief around 2019 to tell the story of MOF research through molecular structure motifs. Since then, it has served as a key visual for introducing MOF science at iCeMS, Kyoto University.
It is now on display at the museum. If you’re ever in Stockholm, stop by and check it out.
